    I believe you can purchase it from Sony's spare parts dept (at least in the US), but that it costs approx $1000. Probably not worth it unless you *really* need internal Blu-ray. You can buy external drives much more cheaply, of course.

    There will most likely be other models of 9.5mm (?I think) height notebook BD drives released over the next year or two, so perhaps consider waiting a while until you can purchase one of those instead? ;)

    I also asked Sonystyle jakarta but they dont carry it.
    Eventually they will, this i know.
    but I just thought if i can get it now, might as well?

    I've not come across Sony VAIO Z Bluray drives being sold separately. I thought they were all bundled within the laptops?

    $1000.00 US dollards for blueray . That too expensive.I got it on my Z but just for watch movies only.Nothing usefull.
