Is it right, that there is no action possible for the power button when the lid is closed?
When I am at home I connected the Z to my external display and dont want to open and close the lid every time when I am powering up or down the Z.

Change your settings regarding the action of the laptop when the lid is closed.

I want that I can press the power button to turn the laptop on when the lid is closed! -
You will find this with many notebooks that provide an "exposed external" power button. It prevents the notebook from turning on while you carry it around in a bag or whatever.
This is a bios "feature" and cannot simply be turned off.
You might want to try to wake it up via USB or network "action". But I am not sure if this works. I have no experince with this.
Hope this helps(<- just like that smily

Hm ok.
Is it possible to turn the Z on without opening the lid when it is in the docking station? -
there is a setting that defines the action when the lid is close. it is separate for both battery and plugged in. currently it is by default to put your computer in stand by mode. just change it to do nothing if that's what you were asking for.

No, you cannot power on the machine with the lid closed I'm afraid, same with TT, TX models too IIRC
