    Vaio Z - Wire between dvd drive and motherboard

    Hello,

    I've got a problem with my Sony Vaio Z11 (like Z570), i'm french, i've broken the wire between the dvd drive and the motherboard, and i'm looking for this wire, i contact sony and they don't sell repair parts and claims 236 € (300 $) to repair it, i'm disapointed !!! i' don't know where i could find this wire, if anybody have an idea and can help me please... This is the last time, i bought a sony notebook , their policy is :mad:

    You bought a brand new laptop, broke the sata cable connecting the dvd drive to the motherboard.

    then you complain about sony's policy about not selling a cable.

    You french people are funny.

    Anyways, what you want to do is check for the make of the dvd drive you have on google.

    that being said, call
    http://www.sparepartswarehouse.com/ and ask for DON. Tell him you want the model ## of the dvd drive and ask if it comes with the sata cable, and he will quote you.

    the french are maybe funny, but they don't like to be swindle by robber's company... it' take two minutes to repair the problem and cost 300 $... i've got just one word sony = robbers...

    ouf !!! the repair part exist and i can buy it in france at MGMI.FR (entre 45 $ et 60 $, better than Sony)
