    Hi,

I installed Win 7 Prof 64B on my Vaio Z4 and I have some problems with some games. I cannot play them because the get minimized into the bar after starting them. Jumping back vai ALT+TAB or clicking on the item in the bar just jumps back to desktop after some screen flicking.

All driver are installed correctly and erverythinge else works fine. Newest Bios is installed.
Does anybody encounter the same problems?
It is also not possible to change the monitor frequency in NVIDIA-control panel (it is locked to 59Hz). The same for the scaling (only integrated scaling can be choosen).

No. I have same setup as you and have not had this problem with any of the few games I have tried- Quake Online, Battlefield Heroes, Starwars Battlefront, and Trackmania.

I also cannot adjust those settings in the NVIDIA Control Panel - after click 'apply' they return to their original value.

Which games are causing an issue?

    World of Goo, Freespace Open

Both games worked fine under Vista and on my Win7 Setup which was upgraded from Vista.

After a "clean" install of Win7 (with new NVIDIA driver and the new Bios) I am having these problems.

I have encountered a similar problem today. If I have Firefox 3.7 running then World of Goo jumps back to the desktop. Quitting Firefox resolved the problem.

Firefox 3.7 supports GPU acceleration via Direct2D - which I assume is the cause of the conflict.
