hi i have the vaio Z112gx/s and the Intel rapid storage drive shows an error on 1 of the disks. Also the raid menu comes up when booting with an error as well.

is there any way to fix this or how should i go about replacing / modifying it.

so far the computer seems to work ok maybe a little slower.

since the ssd is in raid does this mean i cannot disable it without breaking windows?

Dude, make an image of your array right now!!!!!!

After you do that, back it up right away!!!!!!!!

Once you are sure, that your data is safe then you can take steps. My RAID array refused to mount. Nothing I tried would could save it. I was moments away from reformatting when I tried the Sony DVD recovery disks. I don't know what it did, but it fixed my drive. You could try that to see if it will fix it. You can try reformatting. Remember to back up your data first. If it's a hardware issue, have Sony swap out your SSDs. If it's a Z12, you will still be under warranty.

    hmm, thanks.

what would be the easiest way to image an array? im not really familiar with the whole raid thing.

i have not yet burnt a recovery dvd or anything yet but will try.

ive opened my z up for a 2nd hdd, do you think it will be ok if i put back dvd and have sony repair ssd?

    alright i fixed it.

i used disk check for errors / fix in my computer.

It went through a big process restarted and did some more fixing, and then came back up.

When it came back, i found an option on microsoft storage to - set drive as normal.

I then restarted and it and it fixed the bios display of the error aswell.

so for now i seem to be good it my have just been a small error.

By the way, check your sig. the Z11 is a VPC-Z11 (not vgn). Will help avoid confusion, as I was scratching my head on how you had raid on the old VGN-Z
