This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Hi All,

    Sony JP have posted a firmware upgrade for the Z Blu-ray drive.

    From there notes looks like the following has been addresses:

    In the above computer, the problem is resolved.

    - Sony's Blu-ray Disc (BD-R 1-layer / 6-speed) has recorded improved performance.
    - Some CD-RW media may not be able to write.
    - May not be able to eject the drive.
