I have the Vaio Z11VN with 320 GB 5400 Rpm. I am thinking of installing the SDD Samsung 256 GB that should be available soon

Is is easy to change the normal HDD with this SSD? or there are special connectors that will make it difficult for me to do the job? Also i want to know whether the Z requires a 1.8" or 2.5" SSD?

Do a search ... at least 2 or 3 threads on Z drive swaps.

i have read them but didnt find whether there is a special connector for the SSD hard drive or its just easy to just take the normal one off and put the new SDD one instead

If you're getting a replacement drive, just make sure it's SATA. Only the RAIDed SSD needs a special connector.

Just a small notes on removing the existing HD.

It is not easy to remove the HD if you don't know how it hold in your notebook.
There are holes underneath of the aluminium frames where the plastic hooks on the notebook body hold the HD.
It is easier to remove the HD if you press the inner side of the frame, so the frame can release from that plastics hooks.

I have done a HD replacement in both the SZ and Z, in my opinion the Z was easier - still very challenging but doable - my only disappointment is that I put in a seagate 320Gb 7200.3 rather than an SSD drive.

I am sorry - it is great - I just regret not waiting for a SSD. I have to sell the 320GB 5400 that came out of the machine. The Seagate is fine - sorry
