Hi I just wanted to check regarding registering a Vaio bought in the US, which is a condition for reciving the 1 year international repair service.
On the website it requires you to give a US address, for anyone who has registered their Vaio in America do Sony use this address for any purpose, i.e contacting you by mail with information or offers.
I am thinking of importing a Vaio to the UK and having covered for a year under warranty would be very useful but I don't know anyone in the US that well that I could use there address if it meant getting loads of junk mail in my name.
Thanks

My TT was purchased in Hong Kong and was covered under the international service warranty program for a year.
When i registered my international warranty i gave my UK address and had no problems. I had it serviced once also and had no problems. -
Thanks for the reply, did you register it on the Sony HK website or on the UK webiste and did they send you a warranty card or anything by post?
