I'll take a wild guess and say that it's the base CTO config on Sonystyle USA for $1189 ;)

Edit: but i don't see it on the website.

The price drop may have more to do with the pending Z600 series refresh.

Do you all have any idea if Sony going to support the 64bit for Z soon?

    I mean the real one.

I think that is the best answer, but I don't think there is any significant differences between the current and upcoming models at all.

Are they trying to move their Z's in this recession.

Anyone else have hypothesis on the recent Z price drops?

On this subject, where are the best prices on a Z these days? I'm looking at the 570/590's, but I get hit with $200+ tax bill on SonyStyle.

How did you manage to get that config @ SonyStyle? I tried to package the same thing, and I'm currently looking at $1989 before tax.

I'm hoping for a back-lit keyboard, especially now that the Dell Studio XPS 13 has it. Bluetooth 2.1 is a nice update and who knows what else minor updates there are? A minor update here, a minor update there and so on adds up. :)
