I don't really know how much would Stamina mode safe up on battery life of Vaio Z. But in my experience, the stamina mode reduces the color saturation, contrast, to be less sharp and less focus, less vibrant. .
It is to bad. Even for office and web usage, it is pretty annoying staring at the slightly washed out screen especially once your eyes already adapted to the Speed mode.

Most people here seem to only compare between the speed and stamina mode purely on the horsepower alone but not really mentioning the picture quality it portrays.

Unless I am the only one with defective Intel Graphic cards which degrades the picture noticably in comparison to Nvidia Speed Mode?

Check the colour settings in your Intel graphics configuration.
Note that intel doesn't have 'digital vibrance' if you have it enabled with your nvidia card.
Also note that if colour settings on the cards are handled separately.
On my computer, colours are the same on intel 4500 vs geforce 9600

I haven't notice a vast dif between the two modes. Maybe your color settings are screwed up under the intel?

    Hi,

The Digital Vibrant in Nvidia has always been off and the color settings on both are the same.

But you are right, the graphic quality of Nvidia seems that they have applied some sort of digital vibrant at minimum. Because the effect of increasing the digital vibrant higher was the same.
