Ever since I recently ran Vaio Update a few weeks ago (possibly that BIOS update?) I've found my Vaio Z (VPCZ1) locks up entirely when I awaken it from the screensaver (I use the 'blank screen' option). Sometimes the screen goes blank after a short while (a minute or two) and then the system resumes entirely, but other times it just locks up entirely.

Interestingly I can still ping the machine fine, I can even access Remote Desktop on it, but I can't login. I just get the activity spinner on the welcome screen telling me to wait.

Has anyone else had anything like this?

if you don't have a lot of data inside format your vpcz1 and remove all the useless application.
