    Hi guys,
am exploring the Vaio Z I got (2010 model I guess) and noticed the impressions of the keys on the screen today! I browsed through the forum to see that some have circumvented this by using the Radtech cloth. Is that the best option? Does that actually solve the problem? How did the other Z owners here solve this problem?

I'm hoping to find some answers, depending on which I'll have to decide if I have to return the beauty or not :(

I use a chamois leather piece, cut to fit. It has the advantage that it doubles as a scratch-preventing screen wipe.

I love my Radtech Screensvrz cloth. Its a microfiber like material, can be used as a protection cloth against key marks, but also as a wipe for cleaning the screen (it is very soft). And when I work on the laptop, I just use the cloth as a mouspad which works great with my Logitech Laser mouse due to its nice texture. I got it precut to perfectly fit the Z, it was 20$ total shipped to Germany with a bottle of lcd cleaning solution.

I get some marks on the screen from time to time, vertical lines in the pattern of the keys. It's just oil from your fingers getting on the keys and then transferring to the screen when the lid is pressed down.

You could just wipe them off and forget about it. Works for me. And if you returned it just for that, what other 13.1" full hd ultra light workstation are you going to buy? and out of that choice of 0 machines, which one is totally perfect with no quirks whatsoever? :)

Ha ha thanks for reassuring! I did remember my keys being EXTRA oily yesterday after lunch, which is when I noticed the lines anyways! I wiped it off decently with some microfiber cloth and yes now I can't see it :) Of course there's no match, but though if you think about it, if they upgrade the macbook air 13 to sandybridge, then the only difference between the new vaio z and the macbook would be higher res screen (thee mba's screen is IMO the second best screeen i've seen after the Z's)

Thanks for this too! I'll probably order this right away! Also is there anything about not applying too much pressure on the screen when its closed or anything?

Again, thanks all for your replies!
