From the beginning, the A key on my Vaio VGN-Z590 keyboard has been typing aa instead of a. It sort of comes and goes - sometimes it's rare, sometimes almost always. I've had the same happen on o key just once or twice but no others. This never happened [just corrected aa here] to me on other keyboards [corrected again] incl Fujitsu and IBM laptops.

Does anybody else have this happen?

Is there a home fix? Should I have the laptop repaired? I want to clean-install an SSD and 64 Vista in a month or so but wanted to understand what I should do here first before I do anything impacting the warranty.

Can I expect them to do anything real or just bump the HD, scratch the cover, create a dead pixel or two and do what I could [corrected oo] have done at home?

Your opinion / insight is much appreciated.

    Alex

this is a feature of the new Z. Gotta learn to live with it. This is one of the reasons I went with the TT. The SZ had too deep of the key travel, now the Z has double typing....

Alex.K.N.Y it seems like some people have been having this problem and it was discussed in this thread.

In regards to your warranty it was brought up in this forum before you might want to check the below post out. Upgrading in some parts of the world might void your warranty but in the US it does not seem so clear.
