    Hi all

My C2D Vaio Z is soon turning 2 years old and I am starting to look at upgrading to a newer Z model.

Ultimatelly I would want the Z to have a LTE/4G modem builtin. To use with the Telia LTE network here in Stockholm.

Has anyone heard anything about Sony adding LTE/4G modem to the Z in the (near) future?

A good guesstimation as to when this would be included would work too. Do they have LTE networks in Japan yet?

    Thanks.

I won't be surprised when Verizon gets it's LTE network at least "semi-rolled out" that Sony will release a new SKU of the current models with an LTE option. WiMax from an OEM won't happen anytime soon though.

Any idea when Verizon might do that? :)

I think they already have test markets lit, though they begin rollout of consumer devices late Q2/Q3 '11. They plan to have their entire 3G footprint covered in LTE by 2013.
