I recently replaced the LCD in my vaio z and everything was working prior to taking it apart. When everything was put back together at first, the trackpad and finger print scanner did not work or register as well as the power button not turning on. After leaving it alone for a night the trackpad and fingerprint scanner worked fine again but the power button light still didn't come on.

I also noticed that the right speaker was not working as well. Everything else on the keyboard works fine, and nothing else seems to be malfunctioning besides the power button and right speaker. I experienced this problem before when I took apart my vaio z, but it just magically cured itself. The keyboard doesn't look damaged and the connectors all look secure so I don't think I need to replace the keyboard. Has anyone experienced this problem?

    My model is vpc-z11dgz/sj.

Double check that the cable/connector that connects the keyboard assembly to the motherboard is fully seated. I take mine apart all the time because I am totally obsessed with messing with the guts of it. I've never had that problem but I am always quite careful when plugging and unplugging that connector.
