Sorry for my lack of knowledge about Sony laptops. I was looking heavily at the SA but the screen reviews pushed me away from it. So, I saw the Z and the screen is very nice. The only problem is that I need a larger hard drive - preferably 300GB+. Is this possible? Are they available?

I do not need 2011 technology but I wouldn't mind it - I have a little time so it is not urgent.

Will an older Z be convertable to HDD rather than SSD?

my z115 comes with a 2.5" HDD 500gb hard drive but no ssd, so these models exist but mainly in asia

or u can get a a z with ssd and take away the optical drive and replace it with a hard drive caddy that will fit 9mm 2.5" hard drives

Older Z`s were available with HDD`s but they would lack an optical drive then...
New Z`s are SSD only because of the small form factor.

But if you have enough cash you can buy the 500 GB SSD :D
