It is now possible to custom order the Vaio Z with premium carbon, Blu-ray, SSD and the new P9600 2.66GHz 25 Watt TDP chip at the Sony "Vaio by You" website that has just been launched in France. Check it out here. The UK and Spanish websites will launch in two days.

wait, this premium won't be offered in CTO or any other series besides those with SSD??? I won't be able to afford one then. Probably will wait out a bit and order on from Sony as part to replace. SSD is way too overpriced now, same with the Bluray option.

    Guys... its a typo!
when you click on configurer (customize) it gives the following options:
    Intel® Core(TM) 2 Duo P8400 [Coût additionnel - 380.01 € ]
    Intel® Core(TM) 2 Duo P8600 [Coût additionnel - 330.0 € ]
    Intel® Core(TM) 2 Duo P9500 [Coût additionnel - 200.01 € ]
Intel® Core(TM) 2 Duo T9600 en exclusivité sur Sony Style

P9600 was out in December 28th 2008, all new laptops have processors that came out around Q3 2008. like P7350 P8400 P8600 P9500 T9400 T9600. but for some odd reason sony FW has P8700, which was out on December 28th 2008. check http://www.sonystyle.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/SYCTOProcess?catalogId=10551&storeId=10151&langId=-1&LBomId=8198552921665729701 it might be another typo.
