I attached a screenshot of the config options for Hard Drive for a Vaio Z.

I thought that the x1 or x2 would mean 1 and 2 drives of the given size, for example: 192GB (128GBx1 + 64GB+1) would mean ONE 128GB drive and ONE 64GB drive.

However, I am confused after reading posts here. It seems the 192GB option is actually 3 64GB drives?

    Is 256GB really 1 drive or 2 128s or 4 64s? Their page says 1 256 which I don't believe.

I am also interested in the config for 384 and 512.

    Appreciate any input.

    EDIT: image is attached now

One more question. What's the screen resolution on the VPCZ1190X-B CTO? I heard some models have 1080 screens which I think would kill your eyes (on a 13" screen)

Resolution is 1600x900. 1080 screens are available in Japan, AFAIK.

Very interested in this question as well, as I'm looking to purchase a CTO with the 256GB SSD.

Would really like to know if its 64GB x 4 or 128GB x 2. Thanks!

1080 screens are available in India now in the Z117. I am getting the Z116 though with 1600x900.

Yes. A u.s. cto. Also, I ordered the 4GB memory and it came in as 4GBx1 and not 2GBx2 (a happy surprise).

Would this mean that the 256gb ssd option isn't quad raid 0 like the 512gb version is?

Correct. If you get the 128Gx2 configuration you only get dual raid.

My understanding is that in some countries they are shipping 64GBx4. Are we still thinking this is true?

Hmm that's disappointing cause I ordered a CTO with the 256gb ssd thinking it was quad raid.

Can you use crystalmark and run a bench test and see what kind of read/write speeds you are getting?
