    Hello,

When I attempt to put the computer to sleep while docked on Sony's VGP-PRZ10 Dock the screen turns black (on my external), but my laptop's screen stays backlit (with the laptop's screen disabled) but the green power light stays on and the fan continuously spins. It'll do one of two things. Either stays hanging or shut itself down and when I reboot it says the computer blue screened. However, if I attempt put the computer to sleep while docked and then undock the computer (while it's trying to sleep), it'll sleep within one second.

My current setup is a VGP-PRZ10 Sony dock for my computer connected to two external screens on my desk. One screen goes directly into the dock, and the other screen is connected to a Tagrus dock to the Sony dock's USB. There is also an external HDD plugged into the Sony dock. I've tried sleeping with the Tagrus dock unplugged as well as my external HDD unplugged (possibly an issue with the computer still trying to access those devices when sleeping) but it still has the same issue.

I don't have any issues sleeping when undocked.

Any suggestions as to how to fix it? It's just annoying having to undock the computer every time I want to put it to sleep.

Edited to add: No issues shutting down while fully docked/ restarting.

    Thanks!

Do you already have the latest BIOS/Vaio updates installed? Which graphics drivers are you using?

Hmm, I'm tempted to think it's a graphics driver problem. Which one are you using and have you used a previous one that worked in the past? There's a really high chance I'm totally wrong and just beating the wrong bush

edit: haha namaiki ninja post on me :p

Can someone help me link to the VPC-Z1390X's drivers. The new esupport Sony site only lets me download all the drivers (which is not what I want to do).

Thanks for the link. I reinstalled the graphics driver and still have the issue. I opted not to do the BIOS because I don't want to risk bricking the machine.

I figure, though, it shouldn't be this because I haven't had problems sleeping on the dock in the past. All of a sudden I get this issue. I was thinking it's related to my USB graphics card dock, but when I unplug it before attempting to sleep I still get the issue.
