If I currently have 2x128 GB SSDs in my Vaio Z1 and buy a new Z1 with 1x128 GB SSD, would I be able to combine all three of them to make 384 GB HD? Would I need another cable or something? I've seen 384 GB configurations before, but I'm not sure if they're a 256 GB SSD + 128 GB or 128x3. Anyone know?

How many drives of what size are reported by the BIOS?

My Z1 has 4x64 GB SSDs (and I see in the sig that urgiv has the same config), so I wouldn't dismiss it completely, but you might need a new cable? I think the part number is mentioned in some thread here.

VPCZ1 has 2 configurations on SSD.
One comes with Micro SATA and can support up to 2 physical drives.
Other one comes with LIF SATA which can support also 2 physical drives but each drive contains 2 sub drives.
In RAID-0 configuration, you either have 1 LIF drive or 2 MicroSATA drives.
If you have LIF, you may have to buy a new cable. If you have uSATA, then you have no more room for third drive.
