On my previous Vaio SZ there was a hardware switch to toggle wireless+bluetooth on and off, which is handy when on the plane or when trying to save power.

Is there a way to do that with the new Z11?

Also, of the 3 physical buttons above the keyboard, it seems like only one is customizable. That kinda sucks, no? Who REALLY needs an ASSIST button all the time??

There's a switch in the front by the headphone jack?

or if you only want to turn off bluetooth and not wireless, you can click on the smartwi icon in the toolbar at the bottom right of your screen... and you can toggle bluetooth and wifi off independent of the other. =)

My previous Vaio had the Vaio smart network thing, the new Z11 doesn't seem to have it.

If us model, smartwi is the software that controls wireless. It's a green wireless type icon down in the notification area by the clock.
