    I dont know if im being crazy or what but does anyone feel like the screen isnt fully clear like if u are looking at a white screen. Could it just be the matte finish?

    If I look close it just doesnt look clear, I may be used to the macbook pros with the glass. But its like theres a screen door in front of the display.

    Is it because of the cleartype font? Turn cleartype off and see if that is what you like.

    Tried that, it didnt do anything. It just seems like the coating on the screen isnt fully clear and its noticeable on white screens.

    Have you tried different backlight settings? Does the screen remain obscured at its brightest setting?

    What exactly does it look like, do you have a pic?

    It definitely is the coating and IDK why im just noticing it right now, its the whole screen not jus one area. It basically looks like some kind of filter or screen is placed in front but very miniscule, you have to be a foot away to see it. Mostly visible on white screens, it almosts looks like a dusty screen. A picture wont be able to capture it.

    Did you replace the screen yourself or is it straight from the factory?

    You might be able to get a replacement if it's the latter. Take it up with Sony's customer service.

    I think its just normal and i have sensitive eyes, i dont always notice it. Its just the finish is clear like glass.
