I recently purchased this laptop and im running into issues with the expresscard 34. I have a wintec filemate 48gb ssd in there and whenever i eject the drive and reinsert it later on, it doesn't work. sometimes, my laptop will lock up and make a whining sound. other times, it will detect that the drive is present (safely remove hardware menu) but it will not show up in device manager or my computer. sometimes, it just doesn't detect at all. I've even installed the drivers right from Wintec's support page and it still doesn't fix the problem. can anyone give me some insight on what is going on? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

btw, im running Windows 7 64bit.

I have that same wintec drive and it's a bit of a POS. Overheats big time.

Anyhow I have the same behavior, my guess is there is something in the firmware that is not allowing hotplug. I don't think there's a good solution (or at least I didn't find one).
