    I have a Vaio Z12GN running Windows 7.

I can not use Virtual PC because, although the CPU has VT support, Sony did purposely not include the option to enable it in the BIOS (a well known issue).

Are there any options to get Virtual PC running on my laptop (maybe an older version or a workaround)? Or are there any *free* alternatives to Virtual PC which will run on Win 7 even without VT being enabled? Any options?

tl;dr: How can I have a virtual PC running in Win 7 on a Vaio Z12?

    Thanks!

I've downloaded the driver but I'm jumping from the 2165M3 ad it keeps asking me to log as a admin. or close all apps.

I am the bloody admins. and no apps are open  ... Win 7 Ulimate 64bit is already installed and I'm just trying to update the BIOS before I do anything else like updating windows or installing the rest of drivers.

I really need some help here ... 3 days now ...

When running the BIOS update, try right-clicking on the application icon and select "Run as administrator."

Yep^^ And really any driver installation or BIOS update, this should be done, so the installation doesn't get interfered with by Win7.
