I put a screen protector on my Z to "save the screen" only to have it mess up a bunch of pixels. I have tried those "pixel fixing" programs with no luck. The only other thing I was going to do was heat up the screen. The pixels are purplish...

Does anyone have any other recommendations?? I'm not too enthused about the $500 price tag on a new screen. Awesome that the laptop is a whopping 6 months old :(

I just developed a stuck pixel today. Mine is stuck red and I tried the youtube videos while applying light pressure with my finger tip. I can't get it fixed so far. But it definitely doesn't bother me enough to send it in/ you need a certain count before they'll accept it. Especially since I have the higher res screen.

I had a cluster of stuck pixels and had my panel replaced by Sony with no issues.

I had lots of clusters of bruised pixels and Sony replaced it under warranty. It even took them just a few days.

Really? I'm most concerned with it being out (and they having it) for too long. And, the last thing I want is them to mess something up

This really sucks to hear a bunch of people are having this issue. My cluster is about a 5mm diameter circle of purple in the middle of my screen...

Would be very funny if they put warranty replaced screens into new CTO's :D At least the service manual states that LCD screens may be reused. Oh no, better don't think about that...

^ I'm sure even people with 20/40 vision can spot that there's a problem if their Z's screen gets replaced with that :D

mfpreach: How did you develop your cluster of dead pixels? Did it appear after a particular incident or was it sustained pressure on the lid?

Oh by the way, does the Z11, 12, and 13 share the same screen?

Sony did it too for me.
The screen had a little bruise somewhere, and I had sent them the Z for an other problem, that was a great surprise to notice I had a new screen too while I haddn't asked for it. ( I thought they wouldn't )
