Anyone else with a Vaio Z13 noticed that the built in Intel GMA HD graphics card results in washed out colors? I notice a huge difference between the Nvidia 330M (by toggling to SPEED) vs the Intel GMA graphics (STAMINA mode). Is it just me? Is there a fix for this? I have messed around with the color options in windows and in the "Intel Graphics and Media" application in Control Panel with little success. Everything looks perfect when running on the 330M but way too bright/washed with the GMA.

In the Intel graphics options, look under Power settings for something called Intel Display Power Saving Technology (Intel DPST).

Try disable that and see if there is any difference.

... or undo the tweaks in the nVidia control panel that's making it look better. ;)

Not seeing anything like this, only "Graphics Power Plan Settings" are there under both "Power Plans" and "Power Features"

Hah, well I never tweaked the nVidia settings and everything looks nice and neutral to me as opposed to the ugliness of the Intel display. If I could mimic it by tweaking the Intel settings I would. :)

I second this. But lemme go find the exact path to it (takes me forever to find that option usually)

    edit:
Intel Graphics Control Panel > Power tab

At the top under "Power Source" choose "On Battery"

Then the option for "Display Power Saving Technology" should suddenly appear and uncheck checkbox.

    See if that worked :)

Found it there, thought I would edit the quote in case anyone else runs into this issue in the future. Thanks for the help!
