Hi guys,
Tomorrow I will receive my Vaio Z13. I'm using Linux 95% of the time, and I was wondering if anybody uses btrfs with raid on the SSD's. I read on some forums that it should be possible:
Is TRIM supported on RAID 0 configurations for SSD drives in Windows 7?
Re: TRIM + RAID Support? -- Linux BTRFS
If so, it would support TRIM if I'm right. If not, what would be the best way to configure:
- A small partition for Windows (60GB)
- Rest for Linux
Should I just create two RAID configs?

Is nobody using this laptop with Linux? Or is my question too technical?

OK, then I'll just answer my own post. I received my Vaio, and did the bios update. This allowed me to configure the RAID as JBOD, and I set the IDE configuration to AHCI. I continued installing Ubuntu, and everything seemed to work fine with just one drive configured. Next step was to configure the other drives, and add them to the BTRFS configuration. I rebooted, and suddenly my laptop was stuck on the bios post screen. Only the power lights were on. So I did some research, and it seems the Z is kinda picky with AHCI, it didnt like the partition table apparently. So I had to open up my just received device and disconnect the SSSD cable, and when I booted again, I could switch back to RAID configuration. Pfeww...
Are there any details about how partition schemes should NOT look like for the Z? -
