    Hey guys,

So I've had my Vaio Z13 for a little over a month now, and I haven't noticed this before so I don't know if it came like this or not, but when I close the screen, where the hinges are I can see that it's applying pressure to the LCD screen and as a result I can see a slight discolouration there when it happens (like when you press an LCD screen). After closing though, it goes away and the screen appears normal. Is this normal for Vaio Zs, or is this a problem?

    Thanks.

It's normal, that's what we get for having really thin screens. Everyone has it (unless you hinges have gone loose... again like now mines is now... gotta go tighten it now ><)

I remember seeing that photo and scaring the crap out of me every time. There's no way in hell I'd do that to my computer. Not even if a stranger came up to me at gunpoint on the street and told me to do that! LOL

It is very annoying to say but all of them have it, I can say don;t worry which is what I should probably do but despite it being only a small area that this happens in I always notice it. It is very frustrating, primarily due to the cost involved .

Anyway for reassurance purposes I have seen close to 10 different Zds and they all have it. different generations and resolutions.

Does anyone have a disassembly guide (for the screen not laptop)? I would like to see what is going on...

    Thanks,

I dont know if there's any disassembly guides, but i did look through the first VPC-Z's owner's thread and found this post by Zoinks:

come to mention, i miss Zoinks and his courageous disassembly of the Z's :p
