I'd really appreciate it if you could help me with this.

I am having an issue with the wireless LAN card of my Z2. In particular, sometimes when I try to upload something to my NAS box, I get ridiculously low transfer rates. If I reset the card and immediately try the transfer again, then everything is perfect. By reset, I mean either enable/disable from device manager, or use the laptop's hardware switch, or use Sony's utility. I am pretty sure that this issue can happen even without intermediate periods where the computer goes into sleep. Just an extended period of time between two transfers is enough. I've also had this problem with 2 different routers, one running 802.11g and the other 802.11n. I am running Windows 7 Professional. I have also downloaded the newest drivers for 6230 from Intel's website (14.2.0.10) which is newer than what Sony provides, but nothing has changed. It's not the end of the world with this problem, but it's definitely frustrating. Any help please?

Have you tried adjusting the wifi power saving mode (under advanced power options)?

This sounds like a similar problem I had using wireless on my desktop. Low transfer rates that improved after resetting the card. The issue turned out to be poor WiFi connectivity. Something about the placement of my desktop unit was in bad spot for radio.

When you are seeing the slow transfer rates, if you take your laptop and set it directly in front of the router, is it still slow?

This solved my problem. My Z2 (VPCZ22AGX) would not cooperate with a Ruckus AP / ZD network nor with a Dlink 2553 but it would work fine with an Apple Airport Extreme. Changing the Wifi power saving mode to "performance" under the advanced power options fixed everything. Thanks for the tip.
