My Vaio Z21 is configured t read my fingerprint during the SwitchOn/BIOS-Phase. This has the advantage, that my Laptop is protected and it also allows a direct Login into Vista as the fingerpint data is directly forwared to the Vista-Login-Screen.

Everything worked fine for 2-3 wees, but now I am facing some serious troubles:
Since yesterday the BIOS-Fingerprint Dialogue pops up, but automatically answers itself w/o giving me a chance to slide my finger over the sensor. I then have to manually enter the BIOS-PW via the keyboard. Cleaning of the sensor did not change the behaviour.

Once I now run into the Vista-Login-Screen, everything works pretty normal, i.e. the sensor works fine.

Very strange. Anybody knows how to fix this?

    Else

    Hi

Can you give us a crystal disk mark on your SSD drive?

    Thanks!
