Is the lightspeed port also true usb 3? I just tried an external usb3 hard drive and it does not work if plugged into the usb3 port. However, if I also plug it into the usb2 port (one of those cables with both for power) it then works as a usb2 device although it gives errors where it says that the drivers cannot be found).
It seems that 4 drivers are needed and 2 do are not found.
Is this a driver issue? I do have a disk that came with the external enclosure but I have not set up the pmd (one lousy aspect of it being external!)
Is it a true usb 3?
    Thanks

Well, I do not know why, but i just plugged in the external drive and now it is working as an USB 3 device. Didn't before. But before, i plugged it in when it was in suspend mode and then woke it up.
Anyhow, it works and I get 160mb/s extended read access with my intel ssd in the enclosure.
    Pretty good.

The PMD port works fine as a USB3 port on my Z when using a Seagate Goflex Slim drive.
