The SonyStyle website showed that you can get a rebate on a new Vaio Z when you sign up with their integrated WWAN service provided by... Verizon. The Z5xx series came with Sprint. Is this just an error on Sony's part or did Sony just make a great step forward in providing mobile broadband?

Sony has had mobile broadband in some their laptops for a while now. They just switched from Sprint to Verizon.

It is true that Sony has switched to Verizon WWAN service in the Z690.

, that makes me wish I had paid more to get a new Z690 instead of the refurb Z590, as I already use Verizon. I suppose I could always just get an express card if I want non-sprint mobile broadband.
