Hi all, have had my beautiful Vaio TZ for a while now and love it. I have a question about the Vaio's battery controll. The one that you can set the max percentage to charge to before it stops

Currently it stops at 80% to maximize battery life (the default). However, I've heard that it doesn't need to be 80%, it can be whatever, just not 100%. So what percentage should I set to maximize the battery lifespan and still get the most out of every charge, what about 95% or 98% ? Having 20% less battery every time is a little bad.

I don't think you'll get a definite answer for that.
What's wrong with 80% also? Do you really need more??

By the way, from what I've read in regard to storage !!! 40-50% would be best.

I always have my SZ charged up to 80% and no more.

Wat if you wanna take to college or outside without the AC adapter, does 80% last long or do you charge it up to 100%?

When I had my SZ out of doors I left it at 80%
    It lasts long enough.
I can possibly get a bit over 3 hours out of it on the max. powersave function.

Now your TZ needs less energy, so using the Vaio powersave (with or without the plus, as you need it) will easily give you 3 possibly 4 or more hours of battery life.

    Hmm, not bad.

How are you finding the TZ? I looked at them in person and the feel really nice and so small, but 1.2ghz is sufficient? How's its performance?
