I just got a used Vaio about a week ago. And I noticed that when plugged in the battery charges to 100% but still says "charging" in parentheses when plugged in. Is this type thing normal for these notebooks? I just wanna be sure that I'm not gonna burn the battery up leaving it plugged in. Thanks in advance for any comments/help!

My new FE was doing this constantly said it was charging no matter what. I ended up returning it, however for different reasons.. not concerning the battery... It was the integrated camera that caused me to return it. Had it for about 4 days total.

I have the same problem with my SZ160. I hope I am not going to ruin my battery. I have killed a battery before in another laptop.

Anyone have a better answer as to what we are doing wrong or if this is normal?
