    Hi

My brother has recently bought a Sony Vaio AR41L.

After having it for only 1 week it seems to have started having intermittent problems booting.

On power on, the power light comes on, but nothing else happens at all, not even booting as far as the bios.

The battery is fully charged and seems to be working fine and it also does this when it's plugged into the mains.

I've read a few forum posts about potential Vaio problems going back for years with faulty memory slots etc.. and now that I look into it I'm seeing motherboard, CPU, RAM faults everywhere..

Does anyone have any experience with this?

As it's only 1 week old he will certainly take it back to the shop, but I wondered if he should get a replacement Vaio, or move onto another make.

I'm feeling a bit guilty as I did some research for him on laptops and recommended it :(
