    Hi everyone,
I have a Sony VAIO PCG-9S2M notebook, whilst in use it suddenly died, just switched straight off without warning.
It will not switch back on again either with battery or AC adaptor plugged in.
I notice that when the adaptor is plugged in there is no battery light lit on the notebook although I have tested the output from the adaptor and that is ok.
I have re-seated the ram and hard drive but have not been further into the machine yet as I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction.
Any advice would be most welcome.
    Many thanks.

Oh no...this is a disaster (an expensive one at that).
So there is nothing that can be done at all

your model is too old now, you can get 10 time faster than you have right now. maybe even cost more to fix it than getting a new model.

Yes I understand...its just an expense I could well do without at the moment :(
Thank you for your replies, at least I know where I stand.
