Hi everyone, I am having various problems with a new hard drive installion. This vaio, VGN-FS570, had a 4200 RPM 100gig, and I replaced it with a 7200 RPM 100gig.

The problem is, while using it, I cannot defrag, it wont let me, and also I cant run disk clean up.

Theres more however... I cant install service pack 2 for some odd reason. And, for another odd reason, I used the vaio and saved some files (movies) etc, and it says i only have 1 gig free... which is not correct, I should have at least 40gigs left. Please help me out! I really need it. Thank you in advance for your help!!

It seems that your new HDD has some physical bad sectors. Back up all data as soon as possible. Get another new HDD.
