Hey there, people!
I'm Franco, from Argentina.
I have a weird issue here, I made a downgrade from Vista Basic to WinXP Pro, but resulted in a failure on my keyboard.
The drivers managing the keyboard are "kbdclass.sys" and "i8042prt.sys". I'll try to google them, to see what I can find, but it's unlikely that I'd find anything new on this. Anyway, I'll give it a try.
In the meanwhile, I can tell you the model is VGN-NR110FH, and it has SP3 installed. I did some shearch on this page, as well as in others in the www (keyboard failure on vaio, keyboard remap, and so on), but nothing come up. So, if anybody has any ideas on this, I'd really appreciate.
Add-on: Every letter works just fine, but signs, punctuation, and almost all combinations of "Shift+Key" and "AltGr+Key" fails. Like " <" is " <", but " Shift+4" is " (" and " AltGr+S" is " &" (!?!?). Weird... Yeah, and " ñ" is " ñ" (ñ is a letter in the spanish alphabet, in case you don't know, and is on the keyboard, and works, which is even weirder, 'cause I first thought that my keyboard was in some eastern-europe language, or something)
(by the way, sorry for my english, it's the best I can do so far...)
Fixed: For some reason, Windows installed the keyboard as spanish, but modified. I just took the languages away (previously adding english), and restart, then added spanish standard and deleted english, and then restart again.
In fact, you could actually erase this post, since nobody even got the chance to answer, and I fixed it myself.
Thanks anyway, and I'll try to be around from time to time...
