Hi. I've got a Vaio PCG-k415b and it comes installed with two 256mb ram modules. however, one of the slots only recognises 192mb. It shows this from the Bios so it can't be a Windows fault. I've tried pressing the module in in case the contacts are loose, i've tried the other module in that slot, but it's always 192mb.

the laptop runs smoothly so there's no serious problem, but i want to upgrade the ram and don't want a 512mb module only be seen as 192mb.

anyone know anythin gi can try?
