I'm having problems with the notebook shutting down on its own. I have all power modes both in BIOS and Windows 98 to never shut down.
I've also run Nortons anti-virus and Lavasofts Ad-Aware.[?]

Is it shutting down completely, or just going into a powersave mode?

Is it just me or is my sony possessed by Satan?

The green power light stays on, but the screen is completely blank and it will not wake up. The only way to revive it is by using the power switch to shut it down and restart it.

    I doubt satan, maybe Loki?

    Haha
I actualy own a vaio named Loki, it is quite tempermental.

As for your problem, I have had a somewhat similar one with my GRT360ZG, but it doesn't shut down. The screen just doesn't turn back on. Does your do this at any time, or only while on batteries?
On mine, it only happens on batteries, and only if the screen turns off before the machine enters suspend or hibernate.

In any case, I've been asking around. If I find out anything, I'll letyou know.

Is it just me or is my sony possessed by Satan?
