    Vaio startup (boot) chime sound, Please help

    When you boot your Vaio you will hear a special chime, this is one of Sony Vaio's feature. I know that some people do not like this sound and disable it in the boot menu. On the contrary, I quite like this chime. I want to use it in my mobile phone as a ringtone or a message sound. I try to find it in my Vaio S36 but couldn't find it. Can anyone please help me find the boot sound file or tell me where it is located in hard drive? Thanks a lot. :)

    Press F2 during boot will take you into BIOS.

    Turn down the volume from 4 to 0.

    Did you even bother to read the original post? FL105 was not looking for a way to turn it off, quite the contrary.
