    Hi Friends,
I own a sony vaio VGN-CS17G.I am facing problem with wireless connectivity. The networks, mine as well as those from neighborhood and their signal strength, are shown properly. But most of the time I am not able to browse the sites. Most of the time the message 'the webpage cannot be displayed' is shown...both in IE and firefox.I removed my vista and installed windows7..but no result..also unchecked the power management option to turn off the wireless device for power saving..also unchecked the ipv6 option...but still no result :( ..my friends are able to connect to the same network and they can browse smoothly...so the problem is not with the router or ISP..sometimes i am able to browse but most of the time not..occasionally the connection with my router goes..but it is connected most of the time..but cannot browse......But with normal wired LAN everything work perfectly and i am able to browse.......any ideas?

    Hi Catherine,
seems you have the same problems I had a week ago in my Sony Z12.
different drivers didn't show effect. resetting to factory state either... its most definitely hardware and a warranty issue.
I had my Vaio picked up a week ago and hope to see it back in another week.

Good luck and don't hesitate to call in warranty ;)

    best,
    Martin

My problem is solved. This issue comes only when too many networks are there. After setting the roaming aggressiveness and transmit power to low I am able to browse :)
