This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Various system problems (help, please!)

    1. While messing around in msconfig and services.msc, I someone managed to disable my wireless adapter. I reactivated everything I disabled, but nothing works. It reads that it cannot detect a supported wireless adapter installed.

    2. In Power Options/Management, there is an additional advanced settings tab that contains dropdown menus for various options to disable items that is no longer present.

    3. At startup with battery, I am notified that my optical drive cannot be turned off, given that it is open--despite it being closed.

    4. On a separate note, I seem to have misplaced my WinAMP media library. Clicking ML and pressing alt+l doesn't do anything. I've searched beneath the taskbar and all--nowhere to be found.
