I've had this laptop for a year and a half, and I've sent it in twice to get the screen replaced because of these white/black/gray vertical lines. Another one just appeared. I am so sick of this. I take good care of my stuff and have never dropped the laptop. They seem to just appear whenever they want. This laptop was over 2000 dollars. Anyone else have this problem?

    It's a 1080p screen btw

You should get it repaired under warranty, is a hardware failure.

Yes i have gotten it repaired twice now, this will be the third time. I got it repaired a month ago. and look what happened. Haven't dropped it or anything. I just don't get how I'm the only one experiencing these problems and it's happened with three different screens. My warranty's about to run out and after that my 2000 dollar computer will have lines running all down it forever

This could be graphics chipset issue since you already replaced LCD twice.

I suspect that this issue results from micro cracks in the display edges. Check your hinges and try to take care of the screen when opening / closing it. It's simply not a toughbook.

Is that something that can be fixed? I do take care of it, I feel like it has to be something else besides just the screen since it was fixed a month ago and already has another line. And its taken a shorter amount of time for new lines to appear after each fix. So Maybe you're onto something

Perhaps there is something wrong with the hinges or the display lid. Let them check this. If one hinge is stiffer for example, your LCD will experience uneven force that may lead to damage. Try to open and close your screen with both hands etc.
