Hello at first i was going to buy the new Mac Book Pro 17inch but i honestly can`t justify sepnding 4350$ canadian dollars on a machine with no Blue ray , i will need BR to watch all my movies on this laptop.
So idecided to give Sony a second chance=)
I had several Vaio laptops in the past and always been satisfies with the quality , i honestly think they make solid notebooks that will last for long.
Only thing i can`t stand is the amount of crap it comes preinstalled with. I had a Sony TZ and give it away out of desperation for how slow it was , and we did not even have the option for SSD here in Canada.
Right now i am looking at this VGN-AW190

    Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor T9600 (2.80GHz)
    Microsoft Windows Vista® Ultimate 64-bit
    8 GB DDR2-SDRAM (DDR2-800, 4GBx2)
628 GB (Dual 128GB Solid State Drive with a 500GB SATA Hard Disk Drive [4200rpm])

When i choose to custumize it has an option called "Fresh Start" is this to remove all the crapware it come spreinstalled with with?
But it also says "Opt for a Fresh Start™ and your VAIO PC will undergo a system optimization service where specific VAIO applications, trial software and games are removed from your unit prior to shipment. Fresh Start™ safely scrubs your PC to free up valuable hard drive space and conserve memory and processing power while maximizing overall system performance right from the start."

So i guess in order to use this i will have to with Windows Business and no 64 bit?

You guys think this is a good laptop for 3700$?

PS With fresh start if i need to reformat my disks will it be valid even after a reformat or is this a one time thing?
And once i reinstall operating system fromt he partition i will get all the original Crapware and wanted software?
