    I've just bought VGN-CR290 but, the fan gets on suddenly and makes noisy for 5 seconds. It is like something is blowing. Is this a problem or normal thing?

    It's perfectly normal. All the sony vaios do that. Mine does that too. I didn't hear any abnormal noise though. It's just fan noise.
