My one of these has been having issues for quite a while now.

The main issue is random BSODs. (I've had quite a variety come up) I've tried:

Scanning the HD for errors - checks out fine
Scanning both RAM sticks - check out fine
    Reformatting - BSODs still appear.

Now some days I won't be able to get past the loading screen before it BSODs and other days I can be browsing the net for hours before one appears. It even BSOD'd when I was running the Vista Reinstall disk...

One thing I notice is it feels pretty hot on the touchpad and underneath in general. This is just from leaving it on for less than half an hour with minimal tasking and currently no tasking.

I don't want to send it back to Sony, so I'll take it to a family friend who knows someone who fixes laptops. I'm prepared to pay and Sony will make me do so anyway.

Can anyone tell me if this sounds like a particular issue so I can quote those first?
I suspected motherboard failure but I can't be sure. No one here at the office knows what the issue is either...
