I just got this laptop from a promotion with Telus ADSL.

I tried to put Windows XP on the system, but for some reason I couldn't connect to any wireless network, so I put Windows Vista back on the system.

My problem is the DVD will not read anything now. It states there is missing or corrupt registry information after the Vaio update program ran and installed a registry patch for the DVD.

I can't uninstall the patch either.

Anyone know a fix for this?
