The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Sony offers recovery set which "does not include any Word processing software, 3rd-party programs, or games" (as described in their site). Is it considered 'clean install'? Does it worth 28$?

    No its not a clean install... that's just a boilerplate disclaimer so when you format your computer and all the stuff you installed is gone you won't blame Sony.
    If you make your own discs using VAIO Recovery you get the same thing.
