Hi, I havent figured out if my new computer has 2 finger scrolling available. It is a new C series laptop (VPCCA190X CTO) and when I try to do 2 finger scrolling it moves in very big "chunks" down the page, not smooth. Does this touchpad even support this feature? Other gestures like 2 finger back and forwards (swipe left or right) works.

I think two finger swipe is page down/up - on my vaio you need to use one finger on the far right of the trackpad to scroll. hope that helps

    For both of you:

You need to update your Synaptics driver and you will be able to use all available touchpad features known by mankind :)

My S also supported only basic functions by default. Updating the driver made many new features, incl. 2-finger scrolling, available.

I did the generic one from the synaptics website and it kind of works, on and off. It makes the window go "out of focus," i.e. not selected but still on top of other windows. This only happens in Chrome and not in firefox. Also the one finger (right side of pad) and two finger are much smoother in firefox. any ideas why? i installed the generic driver from synaptics because the sony rep said there isn't one customized for my computer.

Yes. Use the most up to date from Synaptics directly. You can look at the settings of Synaptics in Control panel and set everything according to your preference.

I don't use Chrome at all so I can't help you there. It works on all programs I use (Word, Excel, IE, FireFox, Acrobat, Incredimail, etc.)
